Crowdsourcing and APIs = Open Government

Presentation Outline:

In this session, Tarrant County will describe their two-way data sharing partnership with Google's Waze For Cities Program (formerly Connected Citizens Program, CCP). By integrating an API from the asset management system Cartegraph, and Waze's API, precinct maintenance users can close a road in Cartegraph and the closure is immediately viewable to Wazers within the live map. Tarrant County will also describe an automated pothole notification that will alert appropriate Cartegraph users when a pothole is reported via Waze.

About the Speaker:

His team supports the IT Department's strategic mission to provide cost-efficient technology solutions to Tarrant County Departments, residents, and corporate and government partners.
