Using GIS for Hazardous Materials Planning in Dallas County

Presentation Outline:
GIS is an essential part of Hazardous Materials Planning that allows for multiple applications such as data analysis, visualizing, and web mapping. With over 1400 facilities in Dallas County using the TIER II chemical reporting system, GIS tools like R, ArcMap, and QGIS help identify priority areas and facilities to inform planning and training to deal with chemical-related incidents.
