About the Speakers:

David Suarez is currently the Manager of the Geospatial Operations, Geomatics & Remote Sensing Department, and he has been working in OXY since 2019. David holds a B.Sc. in Geodesy & Geomatics Engineering and a Master's in Reservoir Evaluation and Management. David Suarez has been a Professor of Physical Geodesy, Geometric Geodesy, and Satellite Geodesy at the Universidad del Zulia (Venezuela). David Suarez is a former membership chair of the Association of Petroleum Surveying & Geomatics (APSG in the USA). He is an OXY Representative and Member of the Geomatics Committee in the International Oil and Gas Producers (IOGP). Chairman of the Society of Geodesist, Geomatics, and Land Surveyors of Venezuela (SIGGMA). Member of the Directive Council of the Geocentric Reference System for the Americas (SIRGAS) and Technical Advisor of the National Mapping Agency of Venezuela (IGVSB). David Suarez is a Geomatics Problem Solver (GPS) and Cartographer with over 20 years of international experience in O&G. Now, David focuses on solving critical OXY geospatial problems by combining geomatics and Artificial Intelligence methods.
