Development of wetland vegetation datasets and land/water gradients for Louisiana’s 2029 Coastal Master Plan using Sentinel-2 imagery, machine learning, and automated big-data workflows. Regional raster processing and AI-assisted code development supported production of 10-meter resolution land, water, and vegetation datasets for coastal planning and scenario evaluation.
Blake Simon
Blake Simon is a GIS analyst with experience in spatial analysis, data visualization, geodatabase design, and custom GIS solutions for environmental and infrastructure projects. He completed his Master of Geographic Information Systems at Penn State and has applied GIS expertise to support coastal wetland monitoring, resource management, and municipal water and wastewater planning.
Ben Hawkins
Ben Hawkins is a GIS Analyst with 13 years of experience working in Stormwater, Environmental and Water Resources consulting. His passions outside GIS include tennis, photography, hiking and gardening.
