    Enter and update the City’s water, sewer, and drainage models and Public Works GIS infrastructure data to include: Streets, Water, Wastewater, Drainage, Solid Waste and Engineering. Follow all safety policies and other miscellaneous duties.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities

    • Maintain, update and execute Public Works water, sewer, and drainage models. Perform QA/QC functions on GIS and model data to ensure consistent and accurate data. Work with Public Works divisions to compare modeled infrastructure parameters and performance with field and office mapping data to resolve conflicts and inconsistencies. Assist GIS asset management team in the design, integration, and maintenance of geodatabases, shape files, and other GIS sources to maintain efficient, accurate, and effective utility GIS data.
    • Make recommendations regarding GIS and HEC-RAS model and software maintenance and purchases.
    • Analyze current and future infrastructure to assist staff with recommendations for future capital expenditures. Prepare presentations and materials for conveying data before City Management. Create and publish graphical illustrations of model data and model run results. Troubleshoot technological issues.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • HighSchool diploma or GED is required and a minimum of 2 years of combined experience
      with ESRI ArcMap, Innovyze InfoWater or closely-related software, HEC-RAS, and/or
      ArcGIS Online. College degree in Engineering, Internet Technology, GIS, Geography or closely related field is preferred.
    • Valid driver’s license required
